For fellow friends in GK fandom, I’m gonna rant for a while, bear with me.
What is it with GK fandom that affects you so much that you started seeing it everywhere? Is it just me? Or the fandom is just so influential that you could just make a Generation Kill AU out of almost everything. Ever since I watched the series, everytime I watch the movie I would always started thinking (usually halfway the film) to replace the casts of the movie with our boys and the story wheel just starts to turn in my head. Every input, every kind of theme, no matter how small, prompted me into making another story. Like seeing one of the boys in suits will always make me think of Presidential!AU where Nate is POTUS with Gunny Wynn as his vice president, Brad as the Head of Secret Service and Bravo as his team. I just watch The Adjustment Bureau and halfway through the movie all I can think about is how Godfather is The Chairman and Bravo is his officers.
National Treasure? Brad as a historian who got caught stealing The Declaration of Independence by one of the curator, Nate, and they, along with Ray, Brad’s assistant, ends up hunting for the treasure together. Supernatural? Lots of it. Hunter team Ray/Walt VS Team Brad/Nate. Trombley is crossroad demon and Espera is an badass angel. Walt as a demon who seduces hunter!Ray works too. Or team Brad and Ray hunting down Vampire! Nate and Walt. The Covenant. OT4 as witches. Sci fi. Time traveller!Ray. The list could go on and on.
Seriously, give me a movie and I can give you the story I have in my mind for our boys. It’s only that I’m not gifted with skills of putting words nicely that I haven’t started writing on all of this already. And I hate myself for it. Because I’m pretty sure I’d make a decent story with everything I got in my mind. Or I’d like to think I would.
The point to this ranting is, my mind is tired because wherever I look, there’s our boys in a different AU worlds, and will always end up being together because they are the best team. Welp.
